Holy moly! Not completely through with January 2016 and our little timetables are starting to explode at the seams! It’s fair to say that the business of being Jack and Ollie is starting to get noticed and is growing in leaps and bounds.
We started this year with a wonderful opportunity from the Channel Ten studios in Brisbane. Their breakaway channel, Eleven, has begun shooting a brand new children’s television show called “Crocomole” - think Ready, Steady, Cook crossed with Playschool. The boys were invited to go and watch a preview to give feedback from a child’s perspective, and this has since led to invitations to appear on the show in multiple episodes. Needless to say, the kids were excited to just watch this “where TV is made” and even more excited to “be in the TV”. Your kids can watch Crocomole on Channel Eleven at 9.30am weekdays.
Moving into just the second week of January, the boys have been given the AMAZING opportunity to feature in a series of books written by the top 10 bestseller, Cynthia Morton. Cynthia is a passionate woman who has dedicated her life to raising awareness and providing much needed support to people who are suffering from, or are recovering from addictions. She is renowned for providing free “Daily Word Vitamins” over social media which covers feelings, how to deal with them, how to recognise them and how to learn from them; and this is what her series of books are about. Jack and Ollie will feature in photographs throughout this series which will be available for purchase through our online store towards the end of the year. Follow Cynthia and check out her daily blog for yourself at www.cynthiamorton.com, “cynthiamorton.com” on Facebook or @emotionalfitness on Instagram.
Moving to the present and the start of a brand new school year for the 3 of us! Ollie has started prep, Jack grade one, and me, my 4th year at my job in a local high school. With the boys wasting their daily energy within the school grounds, and my brain exploding from professional development meetings and preparing for a full-scheduled year, each night we come home exhausted, but still inspired and motivated to carry on Jack and Ollie Management.
So, sorry that I’ve been a bit distracted from my irregular little blog, but February is shining bright and looking very promising.
